"Hi folks, it's my turn to give back to the community a bit. I've taken it upon myself to assemble some Amiga 1200 or A600 networking kits:
I have forty 3Com-branded 3C589 Etherlink III PCMCIA cards, all have been tested and put through their paces in my A1200. These prices include BRAND NEW 6ft dongle-cables, which give you an RJ-45, 10BaseT connector. The wire is very thin and flexible, and will not place undue stress upon either the PCMCIA card or cardslot.
I get a peak throughput of just over 205k/sec with each of these cards on my stock A1200 (no extra RAM, stock EC020 CPU) over my LAN to my Windows Vista box, which is running an FTP server.
If you need me to, I can include a floppy disk with the excellent self-contained, bootable Amiga
http://jpv.wmhost.com/NetworkBootDisk/, which includes a pared-down AmiTCP 3.0b2 stack on floppy disk, with a wizard which will ask you for the pertinent network settings. Once you've entered your networking settings at the first boot, you're left at an Amiga DOS prompt, where you may use 'loadwb' to get to your normal Hard drive based environment with full network connectivity. Copying the pertinent config and device files from the floppy to your hard disk or CF card is all you need to do. The disk includes an FTP client which you can use to install further software/other TCP stacks, etc.
For US-based buyers, the price will be a fixed $25 shipped to anywhere in the country. I will happily combine shipping, so if you'd like two or three of these, please let me know. Payment should be sent via PayPal. PM me with a quantity desired and an address and I will send you a PayPal money request/invoice.
I will ship worldwide with the proviso that you cover actual shipping costs to your destination country, at $20/unit+actual shipping, including the dongle-cables. ALSO WILLING TO TRADE FOR BROKEN ZORRO CARDS, A1200 EXPANSION CARDS, ETC. MAKE AN OFFER."
