There once was an OS called 4,
ported to rare boards galore.
But the lonely mac mini
of which there were plenty,
was left waiting outside on the floor.

Holy cow. Still, I'd like to a PS3 port. And no complaining about the limited framebuffer and PPU speed. Offload a custom display engine to the SPEs and stop complaining. :-P

Haha. Does that mean then the Classic Hardware only became official Amigas a year ago?

I thought they ran AmigaOS since they came out in 1985?  :-P

But anyways.. In reality it aint a Amiga unless Amiga INC say so. :-P

This is a great news. With Hyperion spreading the AmigaOS on different PowerPC architectures, there will be a "common language" for SAM, AmigaOne, Pegasos and maybe also Efika and old Macs. That would give the Amiga community something it missed for long time: numbers.

Numbers of people using it would mean turning back the platfrom to be a profitable one. I still miss the need of a retro-spec oriented platform (I frankly don't understand it), but this would be a good starting point to hope for a new family of more powerful machines. There is a whole market to re-create, and Hyperion is moving towards this goal much more faster and better than Amiga Inc ever did.
