Attention Amiga Amateur Radio Operators!

Some of you might not be aware that there was an Amiga Amateur Radio Users Group (a/k/a AARUG).  This group had produced a CD with Amiga amateur radio software on it.

   Obtaining this CD has been one of my goals, since I'm an amateur radio operator with a US general class license.  The former head of AARUG decided to put the ISO image of this CD up on his web site after I requested this CD from him since the AARUG is no longer in existence.

    I wa able to burn a copy of it (on a mini CD) with FryingPan 1.3.2.  Just be sure to point the program to the ISO image inside its directory.

    Would someone be kind enough to give instructions on burning the ISO image for the MakeCD & BurnIt! programs, too.  I couldn't seem smart enough to do it with all the manual settings that MakeCD has and I have yet to configure my registered version of BurnIt! properly to burn my first CD with it.

Downloading the iso now;I also have an AEA AVT I hope to get on the air this year.

what sort of a file system is in the iso ?  I assume it is not iso9660, as it does not appear to be.
When I mount it on my linux system, it does not recognize the file system type.

How do I burn an ISO image in both MakeCD & BurnIt?  It seemed that in FryingPan, it was a bit more automated after I just entered the area that had the ISO image.

Do you have the AVT software version 5.5?  The latest version was 5.5.  If you don't have it, you can download it from the Black Belt web site listed in another news item that I posted about Black Belt releasing all their Amiga software into the public domain.  To find that, just click on my ID, Rabbi above my icon picture (no, that really isn't me) and you'll see my page.  Look at the news articles I posted.  When you find the one about Black Belt, click on that & the link for the latest version of the AVT s/w to d/l should be there.

How did you burn it?

Don't forget that Paul put the ISO image inside a drawer that you need to go past by double-clicking & point to the ISO file itself.

It just might be an Amiga ISO image, which is slightly different, if you've read the MakeCD documentation.  MakeCD was what was originally used to create the CD.

When I do the following:
sudo mount aarug.iso /mnt/cdrom -t iso9660 -o loop

I get the following message in the system log:
Unable to identify CD-ROM format

It cannot identify it as a normal ISO image.  If it is not one, what might it be ?  Is it only readable (rather than executable) using an Amiga ?

I, too, am experiencing trouble with that site now.  Go to Aminet & do a search on "AVT".  you'll find that it's there, too, in .ADF format.  If you don't have software to handle .ADF, it's there, too, on Aminet.  You'll have to do another search on "ADF" this time.  The latest AVT version is 5.50.  If you have trouble with this, send me your e-mail in a private message on this board & I'll e-mail an .LHA version to you.

The only program I've found that will open and burn the ISO is MagicISO under windows. All the other programs I've tried error when opening it.
