Open source browser for AROS
« on: December 12, 2008, 12:35:21 AM »

As can be seen on Power2People (http://www.power2people.org/projects.html , bottom of page) Stanislaw Szymczyk accepted the 'Port an Open Source Browser To AROS' bounty with the deadline of March 1st 2009.

Stanislaw, who already completed the AROS Self-compilation bounty this year, selected the OWB as the target browser for the port. He already posted some very early alpha results in this thread: http://aros-exec.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=25173#forumpost25173

Please support his efforts by donating to the bounty: http://www.power2people.org/bounty_020.html

Huh.  For everyone else who hadn't heard of OWB before, it's a WebKit browser with an additional abstraction layer to simplify porting.  (Per the Linuxdevices.com overview.)

Nice!
