I've seen their site in the past. Mainly Newtek products over the years. Video Toasters and their decendents. I've not done business with them, but they obviouly have been keeping up with Amiga news and interests.

There are a lot of companies that have stocked a few 'miggy bits but are not well known. Seems most of them are involved with video toasters in some way or cctv. Hey, the more the merrier, if your concerned with parting with cash online use a protected method of payment or go elsewhere. Having said that if you've had good dealings with an amiga stockist then tell us all, please. They deserve the recognition for being there, we need them too. :-D
Falling into a dark and red rage.

Keep in mind here that for the US at least, the NewTek toaster has almost exclusively kept the Amiga alive since C= died.  Not until the toaster was put onto a single PCI card (back in the early 2000s) did some toaster users begin to move away.

Sure there have been other apps and products since then but nothing on the scale of toaster support for the Amiga.  So, if you are considering buying from a toaster related site as long as they have been around for a while, I wouldn't be too concerned.  BUT keep in mind that they focus on toaster apps and cards so may not know much about other Amiga things.

Ltstanfo

Dear fellow Amigans,
I thought I would just take a moment to tell you a little more about Computer Connection. If you have been to our web site you know a little from our front page already. As is stated Computer Connection started out in my music store in May of 1988. We sold tons of Amiga 500’s and plenty of software to go with them. Computer Connection was one of the premier educational dealers for Commodore in the eighties and nineties. We were fortunate enough to be chosen to set up Amiga labs at Stanislaus State University (10 A3000’s) and several middle (15 A600’s) and high schools in the area.
When NewTek introduced the Video Toaster sales of the A500 slowed and the A2000’s were flying out the door with the Video Toaster installed.
There is a lot more to tell but as you can see we have a long history in the Amiga community. I will be at Amiwest again this year and hope you will be too.
You can rest assured we still love and use our many Amiga’s here at Computer Connection.
And oh by the way how many people have license plate like this…

I'd say welcome, but you've been a member for as long as the rest of us it seems. Even if you're only averaging about 2 post a year. :-)

Unfortunately all I can see are tailpipes on that page. There's a product ordering banner covering the rest of the picture.

Ok if I do a right click, save then open the image I can see the Honda with the AmigaOS Plate. Looks good except for the Yankees part. My wife's a big Braves fan. :-)

True but not no one else is promoting this fine OS like I do...
Also you won’t believe the comments and questions I get about Amiga OS from displaying this moving banner everywhere I go.

Anyway thanks for the comments and long live the Amiga!

For what it's worth, I bought OS 3.9 from Computer Connection quite a while back, and it arrived the next day. I'm in Sacramento, so that makes sense, but it's a testament to their quick turnaround.

@vt220

That last time I saw the abbreviation emrl, citadels were all the rage. Web-based forums get the job done, I suppose, but I sort of miss scanning through the local boards using nothing but the space bar.

Good to hear from you, Louie!  Ooo, now from whom shall I buy OS 4.1... from the Computer Connection or from AmigaKit?  :)
