BeebEm (BBC Micro) for AmigaOS 4.
« on: August 25, 2008, 02:16:04 PM »
The BBC Micro, was microcomputer well known in the 1980s in the United Kingdom and associated with the British education. Designed with colorful graphics, great expandability and quality OS, the BeebEm still have strong fanbase.

Now thanks to BeebEm you can enjoy its enormous software base right on your AmigaOne. BeebEm is a BBC Micro and Master 128 emulator. It enables you to run BBC Micro software on your Amiga. BeebEm will run most BBC Micro software including Elite, Exile and Revs. It will also run most BBC Micro ROM software (e.g. Wordwise). The new AmigaOS 4 version 0.13 features many bugfixes, and enchancements. Hard drive images, example software and instructions are included in the package, and its easy to set up. Just extract the lha archive anywhere and doubleclick it's icon.

For more information see Amiga section
Download the package from Here

Darn! I don't have an A1 ... I suppose I'll just have to make do with the real BBC B and a copy of Acornsoft's Elite on 5 1/4" disk instead

If anybody asks ... It wasn't me trading in illicit Tharglets, alright?  :-)

Well done for the achievement, BeebEm is a very nice emulator  :-D

Ah! Good old Beeb, I have several!

And I still have my original copy of "The Emulator" for the Amiga 500 that I purchased at great expense back in the day at GBP50!

I have that on floppy somewhere.  Does it still work on updated classic Amigas or did it break after a Kickstart/chipset upgrade?

It breaks on anything above a standard 68000 but works mostly fine if MOVE SR is trapped and some 1.3-like values are returned for some functions. TUDE gets it going, though still with the odd visit to a certain meditative guru...
