I dunno, just thought it would be cooler with that. Although I suppose some enterprising person could make C= 1 labels for it ;-)

Now *why* couldn't they have used this case for an Amiga?

That looks very similar to the American model of the C128D, except those were (I believe) of metalic construction.

The earlier Australian/Euro C128Ds were different with a  Keyboard receptacle underneath, and a pop-out carry handle on the left side.  Other than that, the drive & port cut-outs look very similar!
