Strange.......
« on: October 23, 2003, 11:10:05 PM »
I just added a new HD to my Pegasos, partitioned it & rebooted.

Now it's taking much longer to boot and Installer has stopped working.

Anyone know what could have caused this and how I fix it?

Cheers,

Does that mean you added another hdd, ore did you replace the first hdd by the new one ?

Are the master/slave jumpers set correctly on both drives ?

Did you look at the first hdd with the partitioning tool, too ? There is a flag "last hdd" in the RDB, this should be cleared on the first hdd. I don't know if SCSIconfig does this, HDToolbox does.

Could it be that your problem is not related to the new hdd but that you rebooted while the first hdd was writing to the disk and now the partitions are validating ?

Bye,
