BitByBit Founder to Enhance Development Team

Issaquah, Wash. - January 28, 2008 – Amiga, the pioneer in computer gaming, announced today that it has added Jamie Krueger to its development team. Krueger founded BITbyBIT Software Group LLC in 2004, and will bring his knowledge of the Amiga platform to bear on future product development.

“Amiga has gathered a team of highly skilled and motivated developers, with a focus on writing innovative software, and I am very pleased to be joining their ranks as a full time member,” said Mr. Krueger. “I first started my software company three years ago with the goal of getting more developers to write software using Amiga technologies. Now, working for Amiga directly, I am looking forward to helping do just that from the inside.”

Amiga has been a recognized player in the computer gaming industry since the 1980s and has recently re-introduced their Classic Games for use with Windows PC hardware., Amiga plans to expand their Classic offerings to include several hundred titles available by the end of this year, and will soon announce new advances with the release of AmigaAnywhere version 2.

“We’re excited to have Jamie join our team,” said Bill McEwen, president of Amiga. “We have a lot of great things happening and a lot of new software to ship. Jamie will help us expand product development immensely.”

Expand product development immensely with the addition of ONE person? Isn't that like admitting they have next to no staff ??????      :-o

Well doing a google on Jamie Krueger led me to his work which appears to be a building of a Visual Studio-esque IDE - which is somewhat ambitious.  He certainly has some bits and pieces that make rapid applications development a bit more plausible on AOS4.0

What's with the sudden "gaming" focus?  Have AmigaInc given up on trying to convince people they're the "leading" multimedia company on the market?  Is this indicitive of AmigaInc's innovative roadmap for OS5/AA2... allowing people to run old Amiga games on their PC :-o  :-o  WOW!  Wouldn't that be an amazing technilogical breakthrough!!!

Wait a minute...... haven't we already been able to do this for a few years now... for free?  ;-)

 I know!  AmigaInc must be planning on sueing Cloanto and any UAE developer so that people HAVE to use their OFFICIAL Amiga emulator.  Sounds like a good plan... or at least one consistant with AmigaInc's past behavior.

why does AI hiring a new person have to result in people being jerks?

Why does Amiga, Inc. have to issue press releases about who they hire? Unless a prominent executive is being replaced, it's rather unorthodox.

Issaquah, Wash. - January 31, 2008 – Amiga, the pioneer in computer gaming, announced today that it has added Jose Rodriguez to its custodial team. Rodriguez purchased a new plunger in 2004, and will bring his knowledge of suction to bear on future restroom clean-up.

"Amiga has gathered a team of highly skilled and motivated eaters, all of whom spend a considerable amount of time in the restroom," said Mr. Rodriguez. "I first purchased my plunger three years ago with the goal of getting more toilets unclogged. Now, working for Amiga directly, I am looking forward to helping do just that."

"We're excited to have Jose join our team," said Bill McEwen, president of Amiga. "We have a lot of great meals happening and a lot of new waste to pass. Jose will help us expand waste disposal immensely."

Way to go, Jamie. You took a big gamble trying to make money supporting the Amiga, and getting a regular pay-cheque for your efforts is a great thing. That is ... if they pay you. :)

Imagine Apple or Microsoft making a press release every time they hired a programmer!   So what, KMOS/Amiga Inc has been in business since 1999 and they've finally gotten round to hiring a programmer?

Great now the have about 2000 programmer hours a year, which means they should have a new Amiga OS before the end of the century!
