"These answers came to us from an very unlikely source, i would like to thank our colleagues over at AmigaWorld.net and Amigans.net for forwarding these misplaced answers to us here at AmigaWeb.net."

A few bits stood out to me:

----------------------------------------------
8) Why couldn't you licence Individual Computers Amiga 500 clone Projetc A? ( It seems like a product that could generate a lot of revenue. Just look at the success of the C64 DTV)

I am not familiar with this company or project. I would need to speak with someone there; my e-mail is bill@amiga.com
-----------------------------------------------

It is official, Bill has been under a rock.  I heard of this and I was purposefully avoiding the Amiga for years.

-----------------------------------------------
40) How do feel about making Amiga OS 1.0 to 3.1 Open Source?

Not going to happen.
------------------------------------------------
Foolish and short sighted.  Oh wait, who are we talking about again?  nevermind.

"Please see the answer to question 4" is what most stood out for me, maybe that's because it was 20 out of 40 answers...

How depressing to read this after his letter yesterday.

37) Is fleecy moss still actively involved with amiga inc?

Yes he is.

Well, that explains a lot regarding the hardware situation and ACK's involvement. Bring on the sheep!  :roflmao:

I'm actually a bit excited about seeing what's behind all this OS5 talk until Xmas - but I'm not holding my breath. Better than OSX, hmm...

"34) Is everything on hold until the trial is over?

Those projects that are Amiga OS 4 related are slowed down, but not on hold. We have moved the funds that were budgeted for OS 4 to OS 5 and two new products to accelerate their development. "

AKA - Don't bother with OS4 development folks, we will have OS5 before anything is resolved in the court case! FFS Amiga just buy Hyperion! IT IS A NO BRAINER!!!

cv643d:

Just dont expect anything from AI and you'll never be disappointed.  I used to wait w/baited breath for every bit of Amiga info ever since Wayne used to send the Amiga.org e-newsletters.  I read everything I could, kept up w/all the news and was a supporter of any Amiga company.  I even thought MorphOS sucked because of my tunnel vision for anything Amiga.

After a few years of bs and lies my trust wavered and I ended up losing interest.  That was the best thing because now I dont care if AI goes under (I prefer it).   I like reading this stuff because its like watching lions kill an animal..as gruesome as it is, you're compelled to watch + the comedy of reading the replies from Amiga users.

Whatever this OS5 turns out as, I don't think it'll run on any classic hardware.

Oh, didn't you know?  Hardware was irrelevent.  The next Amiga will run without being encumbered by such novelties as a "hardware" or even a "computer." Yes, it will exist anywhere....

31) Do you have any contact with the current Commodore company?
NDA’s do not allow me to answer that question.

Sounds like they were looking into something to me.
