Amiwest07 update#4
« on: September 27, 2007, 02:41:02 AM »
This is the fourth information release for AmiWest 2007, the Amiga show in the Western United States.  We're in the capital of California, the world's fifth largest "nation," and presenting the 10th version of AmiWest October 20-21, 2007.  Please go to http://sacc.org/amiwest for the latest information.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
WHO IS EXHIBITING AT AMIWEST 2007?!?

One of the big questions everyone asks every year is about the exhibitors who will be at AmiWest.  Many want to see what is new, renew friendships, and even buy things (!) for their Amigas.

So here is the list of exhibitors so far:

Matthew Leaman - Amigakit

Pagestream - DTP

Douglas McLaughlin - A1 demo and OS4 developer

Steve Solie - AMUC

Bill Borasri - AUGN

Rich Gattie - Amiga Roundtable

Bill P. - DiscreetFX

In addition to these, at least six more are still deciding whether to participate.  We only announce those whose intentions are firm.  So if you want us to mention a particular vendor, urge them to contact us immediately.  Space is limited and we don't want to leave anyone out.

MAKE YOUR PLANS NOW!

There is still time to book travel plans at good rates to Sacramento.  It's
not too late.  Just do it now!

===============================================================
SO REMEMBER. . .

AmiWest is back and on track for a great 10th show.  Our venue is ready and we're accepting reservations NOW!  Don't miss out!  Bring all your friends.
It's going to be the best AmiWest yet!  We've always come through with a great show and we're set to continue that tradition.  Here's where and how to make your reservations.

Clarion Hotel Cal Expo

Blimp cam!  :banana:

As for the list as a whole, out of seven is that 3 products total being sold, 2 people covering the event, 1 showing something off, and 1 coming in from Canada just for kicks?

I think most people are going for the banquet. :-)

I'll have an A1 setup at my table with my WW2 game and I also plan to have a tutorial/demo of distcc.

There certainly used to be a lot of entertaining clowns at Amiga shows, not mentioning names like Merlancia or anything.

To the Amiwest Promoters

Are you guys going to actually try and do some different promtion for this event? It has been sorely lacking for the past years. You have to find new ideas and avenues to get more people there.
good luck

I'll be going, but I agree. We need something new to bring in more ppl to the show.

We could follow Italy's example & have the show on a bus to Yosemite. :-D
