Unified Amiga design again...
« on: October 21, 2003, 06:41:05 PM »
What do you think about a standardized Amiga-design for the new machines? Maybe it can give the feelings of the "ancient times". I mean, if I see an original Amiga (A1K2, A4K etc.) I know what is it, but now there isn't a standard case for the A1 or A1Lite. What about a survey or simply a petition?

Apart from the a1000 case, i think the others are old looking and pretty outdated...

Why not?  :-D

But serious... A tower with a well designed front side with the Amiga logo (for example) can be enough, but there's nothing planned AFAIK :-(

What I plan to do is get myself a mini-atx motherboard (AmigaOne Lite) and put it in a mini-atx desktop case so it would give it sort of an A3000/A4000 feel. Somewhere on it I will also paste an Amiga sticker, and that's about it. :-)

I'll see if a company like Elbox comes out with a must have tower case design for AmigaOne as they did for the classic models, but probably not, as this time Amiga comes in a standard motherboard form, unlike the classic models, so people would not be somewhat forced anymore to accept those outrageous prices for simple tower conversions.

Yeah, make it as cheap as possible please :-)

heh

Id rather a tower than the "classic" look though.. easier to stick it somewhere and forget about it :-)

I do see the use of case lighting, however! I have this fan
in the centre of the case-side surrounded by four transparent sections.

Be great, however, if dealers were to offer for sale various Amiga Identity
Logos.
