Amiga "Get Boinged" Mugs FS
« on: January 03, 2007, 07:37:26 AM »
Greetings and Happy New Year all!

This is Todd from Extreme Amiga. As this year I will be officially closing our doors, I am closing out the rest of our inventory. The first to go is our stock of about 100 "Get Boinged" Travel Mugs.

I have listed these on EBay. Just do a search for
"Amiga mug", and it should be the only thing that will come up.

I have reduced the price for immediate clearance. Any left over by the end of January will be disposed of. I would hate to have to do that.

Reason for closing, you ask? Many factors, not the least of which Eyetech has NEVER shipped our AmigaOne boards. Four years waiting, still haven't seen one working yet.

All the best in the New Year, and to all the Amiga Community for many years of fun with our Amigas and the people who loved them!

Sorry to ear that, and that you're closing :-(

BTW, Eyetech have never received the last batch of AmigaOne board he paid for to the manufacturer... that's a loss of about $100000, and he never got a refund. :-(

I hope you didnt pay Eyetech any money for these boards  :-(
I still think how strange it is that eyetech just shut up shop and left, even IF they couldnt get any more AmigaOne boards they could have got something else.. only thing I can guess is they put all their money into the AmigaOne board and when they couldnt get that they had nothing left to start again with.

Anyway great price on the mugs, although not listing postage costs will knock the number of buyers down a bit. How about you add a few example postage costs just to give an idea?

This is the first I heard of this.

This would explain why Alan lashed out at us 'insignificant hobbyists' - doesn't excuse it but it sure explains it. The same people who bought out all his bulk orders to date and who decided to live with any design flaws to support Eyetech.

Shame because if it's true he got stitched up with the terron - he had a lot of good will at that point and many people would have helped him out.

I am thinking here of advance payment orders on an alternative board. No chance of that after his tirade though, .....

Which one? The misinformation that Eyetech didn't receive the boards, or the misinformation that Eyetech paid for the boards?

I'm sorry to hear about Extreme Amiga, the market is rough.

As for the rumor of Eyetech losing $100,000? I seriously doubt it, that would have been an order of well over 300 boards. Eyetech was not dealing in that kind of numbers even at the height of A1 sales.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

Sorry to hear you're exiting the market but it's certainly understandable.

I just took two mugs off your hands!

All the best,

Bob

Wow, those mugs must have gone fast, since they're not comming up on a search of ebay.

Someone must have said "beat it, ya mugs!" so they high-tailed it outta there and jumped a train to splitsville.

Funny, his website is still up.  Although it hasn't been updated since 2004.

The other funny thing is when you click on "Systems".  It just lists A1s.  Every other reseller here that is still going strong lists a lot more Classic items instead.

:-?   He's going out of business why?

Isn't it a confirmed fact that some other dealer (Was it Amigakit? Can't remember) acquired their classic amiga stuff?
