Frying Pan 1.0a Released for OS3, OS4, MorphOS, & AROS
« on: January 01, 2007, 12:28:13 PM »
I noticed that Frying Pan has been updated as of 31 December 2006.  It is CR & DVD burning software for the Amiga OS3, OS4, MorphOS, & AROS.

Here's the URL for its home page:

Looks like a useful program, but currently no viable purchase option is available. bank transfer only for 25 euros + 4 euros (his bank charges, plus your bank charges (Which are most likely quite a bit more than 4 euros)

He should do a deal with an Amiga shop to distribute this.

Perhaps he could work directly with Amigakit and he would sell many more copies.

Happy New Year

Kicko on AW.net acts as a "middleman" for registering Frying Pan via Paypal.

Seek him out...

Did you read the site? He only accepts bank transfer.

As for the middle man, that's a handy thing to know. But certainly he wont get customers that way. He need to sort something out with amikit or one of the other "amiga" shops.

What's wrong with bank transfers? The extra bank charge that you have to pay or something else? Just asking.

An international bank transfer from the US is typically $40 or so, my bank charges $40. It is also a long long difficult process with a lot of paperwork and standing in line at the bank.

I used to do it often when buying bulk items for resell when I was running Anachronism, but for an end user who just wants to pay a shareware fee? Kind of makes it difficult to justify I'm sure.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

I sent him an email and never got a reply.  I asked two questions, one about the software, one about registration. :-?

Yeah, 40$ are too much for this.

Last time I tried to do an international bank transfer, there was a bunch of shyt to go through for compliance with the PATRIOT Act.  But that's another story...
