c64 games in mobile phones?
« on: October 20, 2003, 09:12:55 PM »
Think about it, java games for mobile phones is growing into a billion dollar industry, old developers of c64 games could jump on the money carrousell(why cant i spell that word right?) and port(or remake) the old games into java....
Just a thought i had today driving home from work

Or someone could just write a C64 emulator. Much more desirable IMO  :-D

I have an idea, i think   Anyone here good at java programming? Why not try to remake some of the best c64 games? There might still be some licensing things to sort out...

The idea is actually kind of interesting IMO. The C64 games would easily be on par with many of todays JAVA games on the phones, the screen resolution would be suitable, and most of all -- what a *huuuge* software base!  :-o :-)

Get a series 60 phone and install s60-frodo .. instant C-64 emulation. There's a version for the 9210 communicator too, and I believe the Ericsson P800.
