CubicIDE 1.3

Cubic IDE 1.3 is available. Cubic IDE is a modular, extensible development environment for AmigaOS and MorphOS, designed to assists during all stages of building software: editing, compiling, Rexx/BASIC/LISP scripting, assisted and automatic generation of installations, help with making AmigaGuide documentation and creating a web site for your final product with Cubic's HTML support.

This update includes a new C/C++ mode (previously released as beta), providing integration with the latest versions of everyting: latest vbcc cross compiler, latest MorphOS SDK and latest OS4 SDK. The editor has been upgraded with a switchable "single document interface" mode, ie. you can now open all texts in one window. Enjoy improvements to performance and ease of use. Symbol browsing has been improved my implementing a new, library-based interface.

The package has been updated again, even though the version number has been left at 1.3 (8/July). New: upfront buffer history and OS4 mouse wheel support.

Do you have plans to support OS4 and AROS at some point?
I see you mention OS4 scroll mouse support - this in the cross-compiling context not the IDE itself - right? Your site just mentions AmigaOS3.x and MOS.

It would be nice to see the same package on all the Amiga platforms.

When I get my A600 accelerator this will be the first thing I get!

It's in the IDE itself.

Many OS4 developers already use Cubic and obviously it contains provisions for them, such as syntax highlighting for the OS4 API and SDK integration. OS4 is not listed as supported platform but that doesn't mean it is not supported.

The deal with OS4 is: If the software was officially sold for OS4, I could be held liable for problems with it. I don't have OS4 available for testing, the business risk would be too great. Another aspect is the OS4 SDK. Hyperion sometimes makes the SDK available, sometimes not. The SDK situation is too volatile for my taste to offer Cubic as OS4 IDE.

You know, that's what I was guessing but I was too scared to suggest it in case I looked stupid!  :-o

A valid POV. However the AROS developer/user base has the potential to expand almost infinitely whilst at present OS4 and (to a lesser degree) MOS don't. What I am saying is that while I would guess that an AROS release at this time would probably contribute the smallest number of sales - it has the potential to increase dramatically in the short term. AROS really does feel like it's on the verge of great things these days!
