Seriously now. Could Microsoft, Apple, Sony or anyone else get away with such a lame answer for so long?

Ummm. Serious problem with this analogy.  The companies you mention above are real, with billions of dollars tied up in development.  Hyperion (despite their best efforts) are still a "garage level" company with a few guys programming in their spare time to get things done.  They all have real jobs elsewhere to actually pay the bills.

when you look what happen currently until 2005 this sound like a joke (april joke),Maybe to sell the aone better.
But i cant believe that Hyperion and Eyetech realy dont know that in March 2003 nothing usefull from OS4
can show on cebit and a market introdution is not possible

For what it's worth, it was Amiga Inc who said OS4 would be released (several times), not Hyperion. Don't blame them for the screw ups that Amiga Inc made/make. (It's like blaming the coupons on Eyetech/Hyperion while they had nothing to do with that).

Does that mean Hyperion didn't tell Amiga Inc to go ahead and say that ? Who knows, but I doubt that.

Hyperion write too in the Q&A of amogaworld they are developers.So they normaly announce nothing.
They have to work on OS4 anouncemnt do their marketing Department in that case amigainc

It is very unrealistic that Ainc (they do nothing develop) not ask Hyperion if it is possible to sale something.

Now for about 1 year or so ainc tell that they are not envolved anymore in OS4,so Hyperion must do marketing

BTW: I think Eyetech Amigainc do their Job.Eyetech build a HW 2002 that as we all know work in case for OS4
     and Linnux DMA drivers are now too out for that.
     in 2002 the specs are not so outdatatet as now end 2005.So now when sell OS4 to new User
     a new better Hardware need design or the old need produce with lower proce
 
     ainc look to make OS4 public (date of cebit)
   
Only fault was that a final OS4 was not availivble and thats fault of Hyperion.I understand that a complete
rewritten OS cant develop in 6 Months.But who tell that this must complete rewritten for the new HW.

Apple go to PPC HW with macosx8 without memprotect few native code and enhance that more and more and
introduce new API for memprotect
 
This hold the developers and Users and they have time and money to develop a new OS with memprotect.
Hyperion (Genesi) need only do same steps

Yes it keep developers wating instead of help or support developing on AROS or other solutins

I begin in oct 2005 with AFA OS.When there are no promises i begin with that earlier.

but when i begin with that 2003 then everyone say what should another OS support OS4 its the future.it can only take few months to final.

now years are gone,i think most have left amiga.But i like the amiga wont geive it up.See the aone Poll.There are less 140 micro aones sold.I understand that eyetech dont build the HW anymore
