This sounds great.  I love checking our packages like this but I was always finding that one of the first things I'd do was stick DOpus Magellan ontop.  I simply CAN'T work without DOpus.  (Even at work I catch myself double-clicking the screen in WinXP and expecting a lister to pop up.)  Trouble was, I then would have to go through the trouble of configuring DOpus to integrate as much as the original package as possible.  FINALLY, a package that is designed around the DOpus Magellan environment. I'm looking foward to trying this out.   :-D

As a comparison or because you need those to make it work?

Here is my Question............and I have had this question for a long time:

Why on Earth doesnt someone make something like this for the Amiga??????????

Only for PC?

See, Amigas should have been prepackaged like this with all that stuff on the HD ready to go.

tsk tsk tsk.
CD32 is actually the best Amiga ever made by Commodore!...

@leirbag28

a simple answer, because I do not own real Amiga anymore, read the Author&Contact section of AmiKit webpage...
But if you want to adjust AmiKit for the real thing, you're welcome!

I'm impressed!

I'm going to try and migrate it to my real A1200.

Maybe because power users have been fine-tuning their system in a similar way for years, and don't need such customization packages? AIAB and AmiKit are definitely targeted at a newbie audience that want to get a taste on their PC of what the AmigaOS looks like nowadays. A praiseworthy endeavour nonetheless.

I have not seen many Amigans who have Workbenches like that!  not here in USA

infact.........many dont know or didnt know that wa possible.

So indeed a package like this would be needed from People who still sell Amigas prepackaged.....they HD's should be configured like this.

I sure wish it worked with OS3.1 as I will be reverting back to it.

But Thanks!  I will try to move this over to my Classic Amiga indeed!

I have the Clonto v6 (last year's not the 2005) and can't seem to get this to work. Does anyone know if it should or is it not compatable.  When AmiKit askes for the CD it tells me that it isn't a vlaid CD.

This kit include the release 5.82 of DOpus Magellan, and Mister Greg Perry said that is not legal... and what about makecd ?

if you want to put it on a 1200, you will need to create a volume names 'amikit' (look at the log install with makeCD), and put all the add-ons (C/L/Libs,...) in your boot partition.
