Pegasos II G3 600mhz - 300 EUR <= runs fast as aone G3 800mhz.
AmigaOne G3 800mhz - 700 EUR?

Pegasos II G4 1000mhz - 500 EUR
AmigaOne G4 800mhz - 800 EUR?

Pegasos II uses DDR ram.
AmigaOne uses SDRAM133 ram.

AmigaOne at the moment runs only linux, Amiga Operating System 4.0 isnt available to the public.
Pegasos runs MorphOS, linux and soon other osses ( OpenBSD, QNX... www.pegasosppc.com ).

With Pegasos you have free software for morphos, aka SuperBundle (that is still growing!), and you should receive the pegxlin cd.
With AmigaOne do you only have the AmigaOne, a Debian cd, and ? a t-shirt? and a coupon? :?

Pegasos is cheaper and you you have an amiga-like OS, is beta, but mos 1.4 runs well, and mos 1.5 will runs better ;)
With Pegasos seems be more development that for AmigaOne/OS4

What do you want? Choose! BLUE or RED?

2nd best Amiga--->4000T as above, but uses IDE drives, has AGA.
A4000T's came with SCSI HDD's.
Mine uses a SCSI disk drive, and I probably wouldn't swap it for an A3000T. It's much better IMO

How do you figure the Peg2@600 is as fast as the A1@800? Is this with the CX(e) or FX G3? The FX is a fair bit faster clock for clock and has twice the amount of cache, last time I checked.

Anyway, this is completely off topic, the topic is machine to run AGA games on.

A4000 was built in the same lineage as the A2000, except the A4000 didnt have nearly the quality workmanship in its design, so all in all I agree the A2000 was the best Amiga ever made in terms of 'quality', and the second best in terms of 'functionality', sure it cant use AGA but so what? the A1200 cant use a toaster!  :P
