The MorphOS development team would like to celebrate the five year anniversary of the first ever publically available MorphOS release by announcing the immediate availability of MorphOS 1.4.5 Free Edition for PowerUP accelerators by phase5 & DCE.

By releasing the latest end user version of MorphOS for PowerPC-equipped Commodore A1200, A3000 and A4000 computers, the OS is brought back to its origins. Prior to creating versions for the bPlan PEGASOS and various embedded hardware platforms, development started out on the forementioned computers by Commodore Business Machines and resulted in a first beta version to be released in August 2000.

For information about supported hardware configurations, installation
instructions and the actual download location, please visit

http://powerup.morphos-team.net

Please note that the MorphOS Development Team is unable to provide
direct end user support for this specific version of MorphOS. If you
encounter any problems, please use the PowerUP forum on MorphZone to ask for help and support.

We sincerely hope you enjoy the Free Edition of MorphOS 1.4.5 and
would like to welcome you soon as regulars on a MorphOS community website.

Thank you for your interest,
The MorphOS Development Team

Do not credit this to bbrv. This is MOS team bringing this to you. bbrv/genesi do not own MOS..

@thread

If you want improved support and updates (for example more drivers/compatiblity and MOS future upgrades) then Please contribute with Paypal to mos team for this project. They could have sold this for $99 and did not -s o be generous  :-D  :-D

See?  Now THAT'S the spirit or the original Amiga adopters!

Makes me wonder if I should look for a PowerUp board.

Why can't this work with a Mediator system?  I was looking forward to a PPC/ColdFire A1200 system.

I've send NEWS about Marcin Kwiatkowski's port of KHTML to Morphos, but, unfortunately, it isn't posted, so i'll give you link: click!. There are screenshots, movie, and quick FAQ. Have fun. Five years of MOS, non stop something happens ;-).

My Amiga lays and waits for OS4, but in the meantime i guess its time to try Morphy again to delay that wait.
Tried it years ago with version 0.4?  but im sure things have moved along since then.

Anyways, good news as i know there have been quite a few people waiting for this day.
