I already wrote a tutorial about 68k an Genesis with Samba. Only in Dutch.

You could find it on:

As this is not really worth bothering anyone over a news item, I would like to announce that the site now sports content in German

Many thanks to Alex R (IamSonic) for the translation.

Also, the site has been updated with new pages which may prove to be invaluble

AaarrgH! Nearly there. Followed the Idiot's guide (perfect for me, apparently). I can see my PC drives from the Amiga and access them accordingly.
I can ping my amiga by name or IP from a dos winder; IPScan (<-great program, btw) finds it, too.
Windows Explorer->My Network Places->Show all computers in Workgroup shows my amiga there as well. But If I dbl click the Amiga icon, I get access denied. If I try \\amiga4000 (or \\ipaddress) in the run command, windows says the computer doesn't exist!
Any ideas for you experts out there?

It would appear I need a guide for complete morons, as I'm still having trouble. I'm trying to get Samba working with Miami, however, and have been using the guide here: http://www.amigasamba.org/ but have been unsuccessful at accessing the SWAT page. IBrowse just spins then times out.

My Miami is set for DHCP and works great for web browsing. Do I need to set up a static IP if I want to use Samba?
