I don't want to sound like a complete idiot or anything, but how would one package their Amiga boards or Ram then, ready to be sent off? As i am selling some Ram off soon to someone.

Anti-static bag, then bubble swap, and then a bubble wrap envelope.  Not that expensive a setup, not too annoying to package either, and a good chance of it getting through standard post (in the UK anyway).

Packing tape?

LUXURY!

Be happy that the boards weren't packed in WHITE anti-static foam! White foam causes ESD damages, cancer, subdural haemorrages, starvation, floods and loss of one sock from each pair when you wash them.

Have you been outside before??? :-)

Bubble wrap and bw envelopes, post office.  Stamps, post office.  Sticky tape, post office.  Pen to write address on envelope, post office.  Place to post item, post office.

Where is your nearest post office?  How the hell should I know? :-)

Most equipment should come in anti-stat bags, so when you buy it, keep it. Otherwise drop by an IT store (pref. an independant place where they build their own machines) and ask them if they have any spare. Or go through their bins. Just kidding :-)

I don't know Tian. Maplin might sell them new, as for PC World, not quite who I had in mind but it couldn't hurt to ask. (This is going with my theory that independant hardware shops are more likely to want to help you out with that kinda thing.)

Packing supply stores, I mean big ones not small mom and pop shops. They are cheap, I pay ~$4 per 100.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

Poll: Who thinks I should smack this guy around and who thinks I should be happy since it was cheap?

depends... Did any of them at all work? or all totally dead?
If they all dead, then i would complain atleast.

dont think you will get far though, since he said no warranty and no responsibility.. But packaging should have been good, so atleast deserves a negative vote
