Amiga games list
« on: December 31, 2004, 06:51:48 PM »
The Amiga games list has been updated today.

This is the list of ALL Amiga games since the beginning of the Amiga to nowdays. The list include games, data disks and editors. With 8645 games, it's actually the most complete Amiga games list available on the Internet.

The list is updated regulary and comments/corrections are welcome (for this, contact Daff at : obligement AT free DOT fr). There are some comments in French in the list but it's very few and it's not a problem for the general understanding of the list.

Read it here : http://obligement.free.fr/articles/listejeuxamiga.php

Happy reading and happy new year 2005 !

Couldn´t find Katakis. Remember it was great on C64 but much less on Amiga ...

Katakis is registred as "Denaris".

Is there really differences between this two games ?

Some games are still missing in the list, but listing ALL the Amiga games, including the Public Domain titles is next to impossible task. In the mid 1990ies there were so many PD houses and some of them releasing their own titles, that are currently pretty hard to find and/or probably lost forever. Not to mention I have some unreleased games sitting on my Hard Disk:lol: , which are waiting for Aminet to return to be uploaded, but as I see this won't happen.
Nevertheless it's impressive database and must have been a huge ammount of work.

I've got Denaris as real disks (2) and Katakis (free download IIRC from Factor 5) as ADF image (1 disk).

Denaris features a great intro tune (Welcome to Denaris) and the levels are a bit different. GFX and gameplay is IIRC (haven't played Denaris in a while) the same.

It's a very comprehensive list, even my game (The Power of the Ginger, in case you were wondering what my profile name was all about  :-) ) is mentioned. I never released the full version.

And with Aminet in a coma, I don't know how I'll release it.

Seer : don´t know about the Amiga version but on C64 the Denaris version was also different from the Katakis one when talking about gameplay. Somehow it felt more difficult and less fun. Don´t know why ...

About Katakis, it seems to be a little bit different to Denaris, so I will add Katakis to the list in the next release.

For the moment, it's not the full list I can do (is missing : some OS4 games, the Assassins Collection, Scumm games, PD games from some French and Canadian CD,...). But I plan to add them in the next release :-)

@Dr Hirudo : I list only games which are publicly available. So it should be great if you can release your unreleased games ;-). For the moment, Aminet is down but if your games are OS4-native or MorphOS-native, you can upload them on OS4 Depot or MorphOS-News.de.
