apropos backups : what happened to backman (here) the announced 68k version still hasn´t appeared.

Well, I don't know if they need to reside as one monolithic app (and I don't know how monolithic this really is, if it's relying on standard libraries), but I can think of one very good reason -- managing transfer/sync of your music collection to a standard CF/SD or USB Mass Storage-based player.
