Got the full version, and here is the problem I've encountered:
Quote

Stack Size Problem
MUI NList object '0x09968D40' have found that the real stack size of the task 'ramlib' is only 6144 bytes.
The minimum stack size for MUI programs is 8 KB, and it's probably better to set it to 10 kb, 12Kb or 16 Kb...
NList object creation will fail until you'll set a correct value for it.

I tried StackAttack and MinStack but I keep getting the same error message :-? Any ideas?

Hi Cass,

you should follow this little undocumented instruction :-)

Install StackAttack2 without arguments.

Then, create and copy a dir in:

AMIGIFT:daemon/local/

called Aminet and download its Aminet.conf file from here (put it inside the Aminet dir)

http://xoomer.virgilio.it/cieffeeditingvideo/docs/

Let me know :-)

EDIT- if you have downloaded the full archive yesterday, download it again today (it was corrupted)

amigift_v1.1.lha      Size:   2212464

The link above gives the same archive (maybe the corrupted one?).

I tried installing StackAttack2 (I really didn't know that there was a 2nd version, since I've never really needed it :-) ), and adding the .conf file , but with no luck. Appears the same error.

I've downloaded the released patch, and this did the trick!

 Applying patches... OK
 Original file Libs/amigift.library replaced.

Adesso funziona a meraviglia!:-D Thanks for the help Framiga :pint:

@Framiga

StackAttack (any version) does NOT help with ramlib stack issues.

You need special Ramlib stack patch. There's one included in MMULib.lha (MMULib/Fixes/RamLibFix, MMULib/Fixes/Fixes.ReadMe for docs).

BlizKick also has a module that patches ROM to make Ramlib have 8k stack, fixing all related problems.

Anyway, this clearly was a bug in AmiGIFT (or rather nlist, like some friends were kind enough to point out :-)) and it was fixed. Ideally no such ramlib patch is needed, unless if you run buggy libs (for example Warp3D), classes or devices.

I had this same problem and apparently it
has to do with some experimental aminet
support.  I had to make a directory in
Daemon/local called "aminet" and copy the
config file into there, it is working good
on my PegII now. :)

You can try this:
makedir AMIGIFT:daemon/local/Aminet
echo "" >AMIGIFT:daemon/local/Aminet/Aminet.conf

Or get a config file here:
