DOPUS is one of those programs that if you start it up and start using it casually, you don't see the amazing and necessary capabilities, but when you start learing how to create custom command icons, scripts, net features like using it as a transfer station to move files across the net from one computer to the next using your Amiga as the conductor in-between, it just becomes to obvious why you cannot live without it.

I for one don't care who owns it so long as it makes it for AOS4 or MOS.

Does anyone know what they are looking to get for the license?

First, a comment on the topic...

If MorphOS users want to see a bump in compatability, and you don't already own Magellen, let your money do the talking.  This isn't FUD or a joke.  If you already own a copy of MagellenII, and are willing to pay for some quick patch or another--let GPSoft know about it. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on Genesi to step in for this one, since as Neko said Ambient is planned to have both listers and scripting capabilities.

About Argo's spelling comments...

Anyone using AmigaOS 3.x or MorphOS, can find a copy of GoldED with the Joyce plugin.  Next, use MUI prefs to adjust the external text-editor.  This will allow one to use GoldED by pressing the "E" button found in the lower right corner of the text-input window of a web page.  Setting it up like this will allow one to post in forums with spell-checking!  I would, of coarse, suggest to use the latest version of GoldED (AIX). :-)
Regards,
Targhan

@Argo:

"Two things I'd like to see built in to almost any software; a spell checker and grammer corrector."

I never liked DOpus and its workbench integration.. Sure did like DiskMaster (still use it!)

I'm a DOpus4 fan, myself. It's a shame development on it seems to have stalled...

Currently on my A4000, I use Dopus Magellan II in Workbench replacement mode, and couldn't be happier with it.  Whenever I fire up my A3000 or A2000, I am reminded just how much I've come to take Dopus for granted.

Hopefully, KMOS or Hyperion will decide to include much of Dopus' functionality, if not Dopus itself.

This is one of those programs that are needed.

...or more accurately, "This is one of those programs that are needed if the equivalent functionality is not already provided.

Hyperion have probably discovered that it is cheaper and easier to implement this stuff themselves - probably using Dockies, or something (since that appears to the the flavour of the month... erm... year, whatever!)

Chunder: Well-- IMHO it's even simpler than that.. They didn't have money for payments, cause their own product is way late.
