Just because it emulates the Amiga doesn't mean they emulate the work practices of Amiga companies as well ;-)

Thank goodness.  GUI design isn't the strong point of many Amiga developers, you know.

That GUI is looking pretty nice, and is definately much better than the messy tab-based design.  Is there a way to throttle the emulator, though?  I always wanted to speed up/slow down the emulator, but the VSync hack in older versions seems to be the only way to do it from the GUI, and that doesn't work anymore in the newer versions.

Eh? What's all this about May next year and 2005? Are some of you guys new to WinUAE? :-?

A new version of WinUAE is released every two or three months, and each new version introduces many new features and bug fixes. And it is always released on time! It's not like OS4!! :-)

Steve.

WinUAE 0.8.25 was slower and less stable than previous releases, so , I'm still using 0.8.23. I hope , that new version will be ok. And biiiiiiiig beer to creators of UAE!  :-D  :-D  :-D

i think some of the guys are joking.
for myself, i've been using WinUAE since last spring and have always been very happy with it!
now, i don't use it for games, but i can run programs that are completely NEW to Amiga.
namely, ZoneXplorer and PowerIcons.
there's nothing more wonderful than being able to wipe the stink of Windows off one's eyes by running this emulation!

I agree with that the new GUI looks to be better than the old tab-system (that jump around when you click on them, i hate that  ), but it's a strange icon for the Disk Drive, it looks more like a mix of a old tv-radio.
I may read the doc better, but there some strange things like the speed of the floppy reading, Turbo is to the left and 800% is to the right, is Turbo the fastest or 800%, if Turbo (it sounds like that) is the fastest it may be the last step to the right and not the way the slower is....
About resolution, I usually run 800x600x32, that should be enough for highres-interlace, but it seems that UAE scale down the screen anyway, so some lines are missing and that looks ugly in some scrolling screens or if you read text in highres...

I have to say that I love the new Floppysound emulation..  :-)

Really? Personally, I found 0.8.25 to be the fastest and most stable release yet, and most importantly... the most compatible yet! That's just from personal experience though.

Can't wait for 0.8.26 and the new GUI!

Here here. 0.25 in my opinion was the best yet.
