no worries :-)

What I didn't add in the report was my wonderfull trip home... let me elaborate...

Got off the train in Skittyhorpe at around 2pm, it was slightly spitting as it had been for about an hour, so I thought id be okay and started to walk home.

Got to the middle of the large central park, and the heavens opened. I got totally utterly soaked, even my shoes were filled with water. I have no seen rain that hard and heavy for a long time.

But me being me had to go and make it worse... being all deffinate I said out loud "come on weather, gimme all you got"... true to form a minute later hail stones starts falling from the sky. So I was totally drenched and freezing cold.

Ontop of that everything was soaked, all my electrical stuff was wet, my CD player now doesnt work... was lisitening to it at the time, and my Total Amiga magazine is ruined.

Having said that it was still worth it :-)

I must have been the only person to crash an Amiga One at the show, and all I was using was the note pad.

Copy & pasted from ANN thread

Thankyou for your excellent report Darren. I'm pleased so many people enjoyed themselves here.

there's talk of making it a twice a year event... If thats the case then maybe we can do a .. "BashWest" (West-Midlands) and a "BashEast" (East-Midlands ( here)).

Edit-chick thanks everyone for their kind comments on the food she prepared .. She started cooking the Chicken drumsticks at 09:00 and finally finished everything by 19:00 hrs .. She was VERY tired afterwards, but was somewhat pleased most of it had been consumed by the end.

She sez ... Outside caterers in future !! lol

The event started with many a hiccup .. But I better not hiJack your thread .. I will compose one myself. Dunno when as Edit-Chick is addicted to Mikey_C's quiz show !!

Once again .. Cheers to ALL who helped make it a success and of course to ALAN REDHOUSE of EYETECH for his very generous donation of the MicroA1.

Speaking of donations .. There are a couple of others I give my heartfelt thanks to for their kind financial assistance.

You know who you are !!

Cheers

Ps .. I REALLY, REALLY, gotta lose weight !!

Well, as I explained to Ryu I prefer to enjoy what I'm drinking and not have to hold my nose while downing a double. :-D

I Have drank whiskey using the nose holding method on various nights out, but never really enjoyed the drink itself.

I've seen the ads on the internet for Archers. One was a guy filming an ad and more and more of his clothes came off as the (women) director was "trying" to find the right tone for the commercial!

that was very funny!:roflmao:

ps: happy birthday!    :pint:
