The Segment was on the popular Screen Savers show,  and was called the "PC Prophecy Special" .  This Segment features John C Dvorak ( www.dvorak.org ) , well known computer industry personality and writer, who dramatically makes a statement about MorphOs!!

They even linked the Morphos.de website from the story!

It might not be much, but it's the kind of publicity that any of the Amigoid OSes could do with - even though I wouldn't quite agree that MorphOS is "all over the place" here in Europe :-P

I saw that show.  "Featured" is an exaggeration. "Mentioned" would be more like it.  At the end of the show they asked Mr Dvorak what his opinions were of the other guests' predictions.  After that they asked him what HIS prediction was, and he said something to the effect of "Watch for morphos, it's the next big thing".  That was it.  Maybe 10 seconds total.

I agree with RacerX. On what I posted, I called it a "mention," i.e., a blurb.  Then again, we all should know by now that our friend magnetic is easily excitable about such things ;-)

Maybe one day there will be a "feature," but for now, I'm happy to have any step forward--big or small.  (And I thought I yanked the mpeg-1 version...)

Dvorak wrote a few mentions of the Amiga in his columns in PC Magazine as well over the years. The one I recall most clearly is a column in which he's listing what hardware PC users should have on hand to avoid downtime due to failures. The Amiga came up when he was talking about keyboards. For PC users, he recommended they have one in case of failure and goes on to mention that the single most reliable keyboard he ever used was his Amiga (a 1000 I believe).

I saw the show on TV. Yea, it was neat that the guy mentioned MorphOS, but come on, that was no "featured"... It was about 3 sentences... Perhaps sometime in the future there will be more of a "feature" of it on the show like they did with Bill McE. and AmigaDE way back when, but this really didn't say much at all. Maybe it's even fortunate that they didn't mention the link between MorphOS and Amiga users, so as not to scare away any potential watchers of a feature in the future...
