« on: February 16, 2004, 03:03:38 PM »
Announcement from North East Amiga User Group UK:

This coming Saturday, 21st of February will be the first time that the AmigaOne Mini-ITX Boards are to go on public sale at our AmigaOS4 Beta Demonstration Event. Note that these are the pre-production versions as mentioned on the Eyetech Website.

Alan Redhouse will be in attendance along with these boards. The number of boards for sale will be limited and we anticipate a high demand.

- The price for each board will be confirmed soon

Alongside this will be latest AmigaOS4 Public Demonstration and Total Amiga Magazine will be in attendance too!.

As I said on AW.net :-)

Great news, but its Mini-ITX

I hope it'll be made clear to the purchasors that these boards don't have the slot for the optional IO card, and don't qualify for the earlybird offer!

Im slightly concerned over this news...

Eyetech said in their news the other day that and I quote "Developers will be able to buy these boards via Amigaone Main dealers"...

Now am I not understanding or do eyetech no longer sell to end customers and only through dealers... so that begs the question, who will be selling these boards at the demo? If its Eyetech selling them directly to end customers isnt that a little bit incorrect?

Also I hope whoever is selling them makes it clear to anyone who wishes to buy one that they are intended for Developers and to Dealers as they stated in their news article.
Yours
Darren aka Ryu

@ Ryu

Sven from Steller Dreams is unable to come to the show. As a result there would have been no oppertunity for ppl to buy hardware at the show. As a result Alan offerd to bring some machines along with him.

I apologise, I seem to have gotten the wrong end of the stick regarding the sale of the micro boards.
