Next Generation Amiga Case Designs Webpage
« on: February 16, 2004, 01:41:23 PM »
I made a small webpage which has a poll to vote on AmigaONE next gen case designs.  You can select more than one option.

Please show your support.  Maybe someone can hear us (Eyetech ?)

Sorry for the bad design. I did not have much time to do it.  Any help will be accepted.

Interesting pool... The Amiga Fantasy really should'nt stay a fantasy but be produced by someone!!
B.t.w too bad your poll site is loaded with popups, and malicious crap installers of various description.

is this limited to just A1 or can other cases be submitted so long as they are amiga-related?

Great poll, I opted for the fantasy and the TFT with base station thing... which I think looked cool too :-)

If you want a better server to stick this on get in touch with me. I'd be happy to host it on a proper server.

I voted for the 1200-style case and the Walker. I'm intending to modify a 1200 case to fit a MicroA1, but if I can buy a prefab one, I'll gladly do that.

And I still think the Walker looks cool :-)
I think it's got a distinctiveness that could really fly in an iMac or Shuttle sort of way.

I'm partial to the NG style case, or a super-miniaturized A1000 case, so long as the drives aren't too low so they're blocked by the keyboard, and the monitor is not built for the base, so you can actually tilt the monitor.  The more I think about it, keyboard garages make a lot less sense than just getting a small bookstand.  :-)

I'd be nice if someone built a case like a power center, so the computer could control the power to the monitor, printer, and the like.  I really hate equipment that's "always on".  Even if they don't use much power, they still leak energy.

No matter what, "slim" CD drives should be banned.  I don't know why people prefer those flimsy things to a good, solid, tray-based drive.
