@ wacoom : is flash working ? is it on x86 or A1 ?
On my A1 mozilla 1.5  takes 30 sec to open, 16sec for firebird 0.7 and 8 sec for opera 6.23.
How fast is firefox ? Can you put a refresh+load images button ? It is not possible with firebird 0.7, you have to go in tools to change whether or not you want images.

Using it now, the flash is working great. I would have to say this is even better then then Apple browser now that flash and custom file types are fixed. Its trully a great browser. Now lets get it ported to the Amiga!!

Just Curious.

How do they get those nice icons next to a URL in one's bookmarks?

I notice Amiga.org has a nice one.

However, not all sites have an icon.

There seems to be no PPC Linux version so it's useless to me.

It probably will be compiled for PPC Linux "soon"... but surely you can download and compile the source code on PPC Linux without any modifications?

@mikeymike

No. I don't have the time, patience, or skill for it. I detest Linux and the less time I have to spend on it, the better.

Besides, my installation broke itself somehow and won't compile anything at all.

Ive just downloaded Firefox now and I am testing it out. The only problems I had with Firebird was the lack of a Flash plug-in, but maybe Firefox has solved this.

Re: Flash plugins for Firebird

What?! You just run the Flash Player 7 install and specify the plugins directory for Firebird... easy peasy!

Yeah, I'm just confused that anyone could have had problems installing the Flash plugin in the regular way too...

I had no problem installing Flash-Player for Firebird 0.7, but I couldn't setup the Shockwave-Player for it ... with Firefox they work perfectly :-D
Including Java, and other plugins :-)
