A Pegasos-MorphOS and AmigaOne-OS4 Show is going to take place in Zaragoza, Spain this Saturday 13 of December. Join us and try yourself the latest machines and OSes!

If you are interested in coming check out:  (click the "Read More..." link below)

The Show is organized by the Amiga Group Asturies and Amiga User Club from Zaragoza, aka CUAZ

Bill Buck & Raquel Velasco still have to confirm us that they'll come. (hint hint)

If you are coming from other city/country you can send us a mail so we can help you to find the place (or receive you) and tell you different hotels,etc...

NOTE: We'll make a dinner around 22:30, if you are interested in coming you will have fun, we are now around 20 people coming to the dinner (you know that the Show is just an excuse to go to a restaurant and eat and drink without limits -only joking- ;-) )

LOL
;-)
nah we are all "amigans" after all (or ex-amiga users if you like it) and for us pegasos users are as amigans as amigaone users ;-)

We have to show to the world the REAL evolution of the Amiga... showing only OS4 wouldn't be fair... originally it was going to be an OS4 only show, but after some seconds we thought... ey! why not include a MorphOS presentation too?

Both products have their advantages and disadvantages, and the people who come to the show will see that they have freedom to CHOICE, that's important :-)

If developers take as example IOSpirit or Grasshopper we may avoid clashes between MOS and OS4 people, you buy what you prefer and still you can run the same software on both platforms :-)

NOTE: If that doesn't work we'll use our baseball bats ;-)

WHy not add x86's and Macs to the show as well? include windows linux, BSD and others, then you will have freedom of choice.

Until such time as OS4 runs legally on a pegasos machine it is not an amiga. That is the reason not to show it unless you plan an alternative PPC show rather than an Amiga show.

One party would probably accuse the other of having a monopoly, if it wasn't invited :-)

KennyR, how many times do you suppose that you've countered this argument (or very similiar)?  How many more times do you suppose the argument will get raised?  Do you sense something a little futile about it, I mean, you're only going to get annoyed with the other guy, so perhaps just leaving it this time?  You honestly think you'll persuade him that you're right?

@KennyR

Let it go. He's right, the only "Amiga" is the one that carries an official "Amiga" label on it.

The Pegasos would not be an Amiga even if AOS4 was legally available for it. Similarly, if Eyetech somehow lose the right to use the "Amiga" trademark, their machines after that won't be Amigas no matter what OS they run.

The real point is this: who cares?

It doesn't matter any more. It's just a label, and it has long ceased to stand for anything of any significance. It there any point in feeding blatant trolls?
