Microsoft offers virus bounty

Software maker offering $500,000 in rewards for MSBlast, Sobig bug writers

"Microsoft Corp. said Wednesday it would offer cash bounties for information on the authors of the crippling MSBlast and Sobig computer bugs."

(It's "viruses", or "virions" if you're talking about several virus units. There is nothing called "virii" in any language. )


Is there a chance to earn those 2 x $250k if I turn in the authors of MS Lookout and IIS? :) Let's attack the roots here.

These virus writing bastards should be charged with terrorism, no one should be allowed to get away with trashing peoples machines.

The old amiga viruses were much more innovative , anyone remember "timebomb"?  :-)

Yeah throw some money at it and it will go away? , dont thinks so , they are just to lazy to fix their bloated
bugcode , ppl are still going to hate em and keep writing "blaster" like viriĀ“s wonder how long longhorn will last  :-P

I bet if people finally stopped writing viruses, then antivirus companies would write them themself.. they live on computer viruses.. big money  :-D

They're both computer companies.  
They both attracted a lot of customers away from AmigaOS.  
They both produce hardware as well as software.
The both have the letter S in their names somewhere.
They both have desktop Operating Systems available right now?

I'll probably think of some more later  :-)
