Amiga Demoscene Archive: update
« on: October 18, 2003, 03:12:07 PM »
One new production was added to Amiga Demoscene Archive: Option by supergroup Potion. A PPC only 64k intro that ranked 1st at Mekka Symposium 2001 party. We have 15 screenshots from this production.

Furthermore, 46 new screenshots were added, bringing the total to 3059.

Meanwhile, with more and more comments and votes added, the top30 chart is starting to look interesting:

the 10 all time best at 18/10/2003 are:
1. Planet Potion / Potion
2. Desert Dream / Kefrens
3. 9 Fingers / Spaceballs
4. Megademo / RSI
5. Budbrain Megademo 1 / Budbrain
6. Gift / Potion
7. Copper Master / Angels
8. State of the Art / Spaceballs
9. Captured Dreams / The Black Lotus
10. Burning Chrome / Haujobb

There are nearly 800 votes but we still need lots more. It's up to you to decide which are the top 30 all time best Amiga productions.

Currently, The Black Lotus has the most productions in the chart, appearing in there with 4 demos.
Will Planet Potion remain Number One, or will Desert Dream do better?  See it on Amiga Demoscene Archive and DECIDE for yourselves!

Hi,

Cool, Budbrain on nr 5! :-)

When I try option on MorphOS I get a no Rave3D driver. What's up for me to do now?

Nice job, it was time to have a Demo archive. I downloaded some PPC-RTG demos, but I remained disappointed by certain hardware (specific RTG cards) and software (libs missing) requirements and the overall result (poor framerate).

My favorite is Lapsuus! :-D

P.S. I have a PPC & CV3D, but the point is that the AMiGA demo scene was amazing for the thing you could see done on any amiga... Now it seems more like the benchmarks-demos on the PC-GFX cards market.

Well, i'm happy to see that activity is picking up.

One thing i'm wondering though: where the $@#" is Hardwired by The Silents/Crionics? It doesn't even appear in the chart. :-?
