Great! Is anyone here going to be attending the canberra show? I'll be there unless there is a melbourne one, but then again i may go to both? Their just about the same distiance from here (albury/wodonga)!

So i cant wait, i'll be taking my dads camera hopfuly, which isnt too shabby... i believe it can take movies, so i'm goign to have to ask him and then get him to show me how its works :)

I assume Hyperion WONT be there... damn this remote continent of ours, event though it does have its advantages! I take that damn back... God bless this remote continent of ours :)

Couldnt we toe Australia with a few hundred thousand tugboats closer to the US or Europe?

I figure china is going to be a super power pretty soon, so if we did move the country, we'd have to move it straight back again. I ask myself, and my fellow aussies... is it worth it?

Well, if we did decide to do it... Maybe we could just hire Ian Thorpe? Hows that old saying go?... oh yes "Thorpies as strong as one hundred thousand tugboats and as fast as a zertec! :)

Ian may well be cheaper than the tugboats!

I'll lose my interstate virginity - twice!! :-o

I'm not all that interested in AOS4 until it comes to Melbourne - I think.

I would think about it though. :-)

LOl hehehehe u guys kill me!

Yeah I reckon Ian Thorpe would actually not be cheaper! :-o  Why? you ask? Well after those crappy Pura ads in which he showed off his legs, I reckon he'd ask for too many royalties.

Oh and a big LOL about THAT simpsons episode Prime Minister thing! :-D

What do you think of our venue?

I was there with Doug & his wife, and Charles, on Thursday! Great A/V setup.  The OTHER thing is I'll finally get to see my A1, though it'll be showing Linux.  I'd hoped for a AOS4 beta . . . . . . . . .  .:-(

Here's a
location map that I prepared earlier!  The theatre is depicted in red near LEFT-TOP corner of QUT.  For ANYONE within affordable Air Travel distance of Brisbane; you can take the AIRTRAIN: from the airport in to Central Station. From there, it's a 15 min walk to QUT.

For southside arrivals, the CAR PARKING, BUS Station & RAIL Station at Southbank Parklands offers one of the best options, allowing access to QUT via the Goodwill Pedestrian Bridge...... ( indicated in green on map )
-vortexau; who\\\'s still waiting! (-for AmigaOS4! ;-) )
savage Ami bridge parody

That's a huge venue!

also, vortexau, can we expected pictures and a report from you? I'll hopfully be able to privide pictures and deffinitly a short report about the canberra one... I just wish to know what im up for...

The canberra one could be the smallest of them all actualy... :} Most likly i'd say!

And maybe grant hacket would be more suited to the moving australia idea... he's more of a long distance swimmer... He wouldnt be cheap either, but cheaper than thorpe anyway!!!

When will we start to hear from anyone at the show? And, if your not one of those guys on the internet, how does anyone else know about the OS4 tours?

Is there anyone in australia that subscribes to magazines that these events would have been published in?

I wonder how big these shows are gunna be... i mean some of the ones through out europe wernt that large, do you think the Aussie ones could topple them?

I doubt it! If im the only one there, im gunna feel a little weird! :)

I was at the sydney one but has been too lazy to put any pictures or reports up, if someone want me to let me know and ill do something tomorrow, i got 30Mb of pics (not all good) but i also have $4!tloads of pics of the a-one mini itx board as well, with size comparisons with the current a-one atx (sitting on top, beside etc etc)...

There was more people there then i thought there would be so all was good, the venue was also *huge*, there were three giant screens each with presentations going on, The main screen was at a guess 4 metres high and showing aos4 one an a-one
