« on: September 29, 2003, 11:59:43 AM »
And yet another world premiere for the Benelux Amiga / Pegasos Show!

At the Rotterdam event, Tyragroup will show their new home multimedia system, based on Pegasos and MorphOS, to the public for the very first time. More information will become available during the show.

Pegasos1 ? Pegasos2 ? Or the mysterious 403 (or something like that) based
low-end STB ????
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

@ Kronos

It won't make much sense to make a new product based on discontinued hardware (Pegasos 1), will it?  :-P

@granny

Sure, but is it allready possible to actually make/show a product on one
of the two other choices I gave ?

Good question! It would be very interesting (and a little surprizing) if a STB motherboard would have been developed and finalized in silence. If it's a product based on the Pegasos II, it could very well be using an early Peg2 motherboard or a Pegasos I (for demo at the show).  I belong to the category that believes that there won't be so many major differencies in the Pegasos II from the Peg1 (Pegasos1~Pegasos2=*Pegasos*), except the better NorthBridge (which of course *is* a major improvement). We will see in a week or two! It will be very interesting! :-)

To avoid any confusion regarding this: Tyragroup is of course not identical with the still unannounced big STB client - remember, the latter is a major media company.

Genesi's products are open for any company who think they could fit their needs. Or as BBRV put this mutual benefit: "one for all and all for one". :-)

(shameless advertising on)
Well, a little bit more regarding the STB is part of my bplan-interview which will be published in issue 0 of Amiga.org-Magazine at the BAPS in Rotterdam next weekend... ;-)
