@mdma

On the "old" Beta2-server (probraly the same server, just a different login).

But beware that server seems to be cloacked (sp ?) by now.

Finally got to the point where I had a working CD-R again (downloaded with the PC),
and only boote in 5 min ago.

New mp3/ogg-player intregrated Turboprint and Poseidon, some kind of dockie
and a taskmanager is what I found so far.

And the default skin/theme is looking much beeter than the one on 1.3  ;-)
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Not here to make warz.....

But how come MorphOS looks and works like a rigged version of Amiga????

They barely have calculator and a few features for the long awaited MOS1.4???

I dont know, but yet it probably wont grab my interest.

kd7ota:  Adwanced trolling  :-D

In the end. One can't please everybody. I personally prefer to use OS now and see it to grow instead of waiting years to some dreamy fantasy..

That statement actually sounds just a bit over the top, considering the various shows that has been all around Europe where people has seen the current state of the "dreamy fantasy". But hey, it's your words..

These are interesting times we live in. New machines in progress, new AmigaOS in progress.. userbase slowly, slowly growing..  which is a success in itself.

I like that term, "dreamy fantasy."  I may have to borrow it sometime.

Fact: MorphOS has a lot of really cool features and upgrades when moving up from AmigaOS 3.x.

Fantasy: MorphOS is a perfect OS and is completely ready for every instance of every task.

The fact of the matter is that MorphOS inherited (so to speak) certain drawbacks of AmigaOS, but since it was "rewritten" it was also missing some things here and there.  All in all, MorphOS is really a great thing, but as with all things there is room for improvement.  Time marches on, and a development group cannot just keep working behind closed doors releasing nothing "until it's finished."  Or, do you want another BoXeR?

(edit) Gack!  I didn't realize how that sounded!  This was referring to having a prior MorphOS 1.3 release that was missing some basics.  I was not referring to Hyperion!(/edit)
Regards,
Targhan

Honestly, your loss. It is a very functional system.
