bplan is "Genesi Germany" but kept the name bplan
for various reasons.

I am not an expert, but doesn't AGP 8x still support AGP4x cards? Isn't at least the Voodoo3 and up, Radeon 7000 and up (among others) AGP 2x/4x cards? Shouldn't these work on an AGP8x motherboard?

AGP 1.0 covers 1x and 2x
AGP 2.0 covers 4x
AGP 3.0 Covers 8x

I don't think AGP 3.0 has any support for 4x.. but Downix will probably prove me wrong again today :-)

I think it does. ;-)
I have an Abit NF7-S motherboard (AGP 3.0 8X ) and I am using that right now with a an old matrox 4x card. I also think that you will be able to read this among the specifications of any other AGP 3.0 8x motherboard. How could you sell an AGP 3.0 8x motherboard today otherwise?
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :)

Nice, but it almost looks rendered ? Or is that just me?

The photo - if photo it is, which is what I'm assuming - has certainly been touched up. Notice that all the identifying information on the chip has been obliterated. All we can see is that it's a Motorola product, which is hardly a surprise.

And why on earth would anyone want to keep that secret? :-?

Rose:   aren't you happy with your Aone, or why you sound so sore  :-o

I think that Cpu card picture is only a bit amateurish.. But I wouldn't go that far on suggesting foul play just cause one can't see all markings from top of every chip on board.

Personally.. I'll expect to get closer look in couple months time when I'll purchase upgrade to my pega (G4 cpu + motherboard upgrade to Pegasos 2). By that time I'll hope to also have some Mos native softwares that can use G4 Altivec to something usefull.

Now this is the company making those G4 boards for you... :)

Oki, I respect Genisi, but as long as DCE is involved, Pegasos wont be my product :) Sorry.. Genisi. If you find someone else, I'll buy it!
I love and respect people which care! And not those with
a heart made of stone.

Note that Genesi didn't made a decision yet which CPU will be used (1GHz, 1.2GHz or 1.3GHz).

go for the 1.3ghz much more impressive by the way it looks good to .Very tempting when the new batch of  pegasos 2  motherboards are out i might get one .
I once had an amigaone xe but sold it .

To the folk asking about AGP:

AGP 3.0 supports 4x and 8x.

AGP 2.0 supports PCI, 1X, 2X and 4X

AGP 1.0 supports PCI, 1X and 2X

The Voodoo barely rated at AGP 2x

As for the earlier S3 and Permedia cards, I'd not even try it on an 8x bus.

DCE is not involved... Their equipment is.
Their equipment belonged to Phase5, Gerald Carda
and co. know the machines inside out.
It's not Thomas Dellert that runs the production or
anything, it's Genesi.

@AmiDelf

Could you possibly replace the picture with a smaller version please? The page is rendered very wide and one has to scroll right to see complete lines...

TIA
