@BBRV

>Pricing for the future...Pegasos Basic System (G3) 299 Euros, PegasosPower (G4) 499 Euros? Any more questions on pricing?

I have. For the pioneers who have bought G3 for $299, will we get peg 2 mobo+cpucard for 200e, or only cpucard?

I am asking, because:
a) If we will get Pegasos2+cpucard, I am willing to pay extra 200e in hope some developer(or other whome might help the platform) will get a chance to buy my used Peg1 mobo+cpucard for special price.

b) If only cpucard, 200e is a lot to ask for a few extra mhz, especially if I trade my old one in. At least I am not going for this option, don't know of others.

Thats good pricing.

It doesn't have to be cheaper, just reasonable.
I regard 300 dollars as being a good motherboardcpu price for PowerPC architecture.

We posted this to the Phoenix Reseller Mailing list last night.  We will try to explain it better here...;-)

We will sell the Pegasos II with either a G3 or G4 CPU card.  Think of the G3 version as the Pegasos and the G4 version as the PegasosAdvanced or the PegasosPlus.

 The Pegasos G3, which is the mainboard, CPU card, MorphOS and LinuxPPC operating systems CDs, official Pegasos badge, back panel, documentation AND MorphOS T-Shirt will be sold for 299 Euros (taxes and shipping NOT included).  We will also include an Office Productivity package, a web browser, an email client, various video viewing software packages, PSA, Birdie Shoot, and, and, and...this will be the SuperBundle.

The PegasosPlus will be the same thing except have the G4 card and sell for 499 Euros.

The G4 Upgrade for all the Pegasos I owners will have two options:

1. Buy for 200 Euros the new G4 Board (you will still have the Pegasos I mainboard with April patch)

2.  Exchange your COMPLETE system and 200 Euros and get a whole NEW system with G4 card and Marvell northbridge.

Hope that explains it.  Please post your questions here.

Best regards,

Raquel and Bill  :-)

This is not a review, and does not state or purport anywhere in the "special report" to be so. A review of a product is when one has tried the product and given an opinion on how well it does what it intends to do, and in some cases whether the reviewer thinks the product is relavant or not. In some reviews the product is also hooked up to test equipment to see where it ranks among products in the same category. With that said, it certainly is a positive "special report".  This shouldn't be a problem as long as we understand this and take it for what it is. :-)
