Rage Hard on MorphOS
« on: May 16, 2003, 01:59:34 PM »
According to MorphOS News, Rage Hard, a first-person multiplayer tactical shooter that looks awasome, will be released on MorphOS aswell next to the PC and Mac.

This news was confirmed by Titan Computer on their forum.

Unless it comes down to the old "That would require another license we don't have" like Hyperion states about doing MOS versions. :-?

@redrumloa

Depends if Titan owned the rights to the game (Rage Hard) or not. Porting titles, as in Hyperion's case, would require another license.

There will be no OS4 version of RageHard. RageHard is IIRC contract work for Genesi/bplan.

Good news - but unless there is 3D support for Radeon 90% of Pegasos users won't get to play it.

To put it bluntly: If that is a game looking "awesome", I feel sorry for the MorphOS gaming community.
Amiga: Too weird to live, too rare to die.

It's not looking awesome. A lot of Amiga games are not, but still are very playable. How can you make an average looking 3d-shooter playable, is beyond my comprehension.

Nevertheless this game will sell around 100times more often on Windows/Mac than on AmigaOS or
MorphOS. Hence Titan makes money out of it.

@zacman

I doubt it. Perhaps it will be pirated about 100 times more. If you want to put your money on a new 3D shooter, why should you buy something that looks like a five year old game when you can get something with the looks of UT2003?

That's why the 5 year old game just sells around
100times more, while the brand new game sells
1000times more...
