I'm wondering what to make of the vague Amiga Inc announcment that Bill McEwen will be at AmiWest. It seems they are saying OS4 is at least 3 months away. There is no mention of showing any hardware or software even then. This is about where we were last year. OS4 development could easily take more years. I think I'll start following something that's making more progress, like putting a man on Mars.

Well, bill did not make any reply to the question at hand now that McEwen is confirmed CEO.

Just a link to someplace for some self advertising.

Seems to me like he wants to change the subject before he has to answer for his statements.

Agreed ... all of Bill Bucks comments over the last few days have been proven to be lies, FUD and whatever else.

How can anyone buy anything from him?

Regardless of whatever crap has been spouted, I'm not buying the comments, I'm buying the machine.
(I know I once asked the same question but I was upset at the time.  :-D )

Nothing is proven. We have an announcement that Billy-boy is still the CEO of Amiga Inc. Which is enough me, now I believe he still is. However if this will change in recent months I feel very assf*cked by him. If not a lie, at least misleading information. I will let future tell how it turns out to be.

And what comes to Buck, well, he has some explaining to do. No. I correct myself. He oughta start thinking what to post on forums and what not.

@Hattig

Huh? How could anyone buy anything from him? Say what?!?!?
Very easy. Gensi has a product for sale that is actually shipping
and actually works! They are not selling non existant products,
coupons or teeshirts that never ship either. i guess some people
don't like products that actually ship?

I paid by money order and i am typing this message on the product I
bought from him.

@Redrumloa

They don't have a Pegasos on sale right now! OK, they sold an OS with it.

Amiga Inc. has also something on sale right now! You and I just don't need or want it.

Eyetech allready sold the AmigaOne-SE and now also the AmigaOne-XE. OK, no OS but it's coming.
BlizzardPPC powered!!
AmigaOne-XE G3 800 MHz, 512 MB RAM, Radeon 8500, OS4

@PulsatingQuasar

Actually I wasn't refering to the A1/OS4. The question was who would buy from Gensi and the answer is me:-) I wouldn't buy from Amiga Inc at this point, because they don't have any real product shipping that I'm interested in. That has nothing to do with Hyperion/Eyetech.

Alright, if someone believes that card is real, they truly are an utter moron.  It speaks badly on what the "Amiga" community has become.  Look closely boys & girls, the text on the right is a different color than the "scan" of the Amiga logo's text.

And that prooves what ?

That the GFX-artist doing this card didn't care enough
about such details.

Wether this was someone at AInc (*) or someone falsifying
such a card is a completly different question.

* Waynes comment that Bill's and fleecy's cards look just
the same, make the 1st option quite believable.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

So Wayne is going to have to come over here and repeat himself for about the 90th time that the card is real? Sheesh!

HERE is one post of many by Wayne talking about this.

I'm willing to take Wayne's word that the card is real, but I'm still curious about why the phone number has a San Francisco area code, while the office is listed as being in Snoqualmie. No one so far has mentioned this but me, I think; I'm not trying to cast doubt on the card, just genuinely curious. :-?
