You *actually* have an AmigaOS4 software development kit?

By the way Davy, what's stopping you from porting OctaMED Sound Studio v2 to AmigaOS4?

Time, RSI and the fact that somebody else (I thought from AmiAtlas) is looking into this!  :-D

@Dagon
Who said anything about my OS4 being a beta?

Nah, just kidding.  :-D guess I'll have to stick with 3.9 for the time being ;~/

AE has the makings of a great program. It's good to see something with this kind of potential being developed. hopefully, Davy will see his hard work rewarded, with people actually buying the program.

@DaveAE

Yeah, seems to be a problem this end. I still cannot get access to it. Certain other sites are unavailable as well. :-?

@mips_proc

Well, it states very clearly that it will be an OS4 application; presumably it will take advantage of the API extensions of OS4 and will therefore not work on MorphOS.

Whether or not they chose to do a MorphOS port is unclear; but it seems to me as though they are targetting OS4 specifically.

I think it was written somewhere that there would be a 68k demo of audio evolution 4. So I guess it'll work on MOS too, at least under emulation.

I guess it would only be a political choice if MOS was not supported. (if the demo version really works under os 3.x)...

The 68k demo might work, I'm not sure. There have been reports that AE3 did not work under MOS, but that might have been tested on an early version.

Funny.. same comment as on amiga-news.de..  ;-)
As much as some people like to believe it is a political reason, please read the FAQ again on my website. Besides that, now PSA is free with MOS, who would buy AE4 for MOS? You have to consider the work and investments that need to be done to support MOS and put that against expected sales. If you really want AE4 to be ported to MOS, you are welcome to start a petition and I might rethink it!  :-)
