Hoya!

That is quite weird...
I have subscribed to their newsletter and they did not say anything about this... Well, it's no proof for sure... :-\

Be funky

PS: too bad those "Remasters" are not developped on next generation Amigas. After all, that is where it all started... :-(

It say so in the latest S-files on their website.

anyway it seems all cinemaware games will not arrive on any plattform atm, its all about money.

2 games have been released and thats Defender of the Crown and Three Stooges , i am pretty sure theese are available...or aint they? , i have only heard so.... mac/pc dual releases on same cds.

anyway to develop an next gen amigas would need an OS , they never said "NO WE WONT" , lets wait and see if cinemaware pay's the money, if they do...then clickboom might release the games...and later an amiga version , but that would need an amiga coder and since they dont have any atm means that would be a prob, but an easy mac->amiga1 port shouldnt be hard at all...

lets hope cinemaware aint dead for the second time....

and most of all lets hope clickboom get the damn money (had enough clickboom scandals...)
Whats up with all the hate!

I'd be more excited about a new version of Alien Breed 2D...

I bought DotC not long after if first came out and over 15 years of playing it I can count the number of jousts I've won on one hand!!!

I think I only won them because I selected jousting as my special skill - and then I lost most of my sword fights.

NEVER joust for land!!!!  ;-)
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

Hmm...true... I made a slight mistake with my statement. :-P

But what I meant to say was: I'm happy with the older versions and feel no urgent need for more. That doesn't mean I don't want new versions to come out, of course. It just doesn't annoy me too much that they won't.

Jousting...  Yikes!

The Amiga version is all but impossible, as I understand it.  I have only won one or two rounds, ever.  (And I've tried it quite a few times, over the years!)

I could routinely win on the C64 version, though.  (Aim for just inside the near shoulder and click the button about 1.5 sec before the screen switches.  50% chance or better of a win.)  Or, if you want to cause real problems, aim right at the horses' head, and click about 2 secs before screen switch.  (You'll stab the opponent's horse, and get dishonored and tossed from the tourney, losing extra prestige.)

It's a shame that the remakes will never see the light of day.  Though, somehow, I guess it's not terribly surprising.  :-(

Dotc and the three stooges were released, i have a copy of each, but its a simple shockwave production and the graphics are generally better in the original imho.
I have been desperatly waiting for Wings, as it is not a shockwave solution and a great game, just hope they settle whatever differences they have...
