Amiga History Article on ExtremeTech
« on: January 23, 2003, 01:44:59 PM »
ExtremeTech have posted an article  outlaying the history of the Amiga and how it's the computing industry's least known companies. Also covers briefly Amiga Inc's future plans.

Not the most flattering of articles i have read in a mainstream website.

I think it is unfortunate that the author consistently spelled Larry Kaplan's name wrong ("Caplin").

Very good article.  I think he explained a lot of what made Amiga special in it it's time, it explaiend that Amiga is making a come back but also explained how it may be hard to market.

I like everyone else wants to see it succeed, but with very few apps, it's going to have a bit of trouble.  Right now the two selling points I see are: 1. Slim OS (we hope, if it comes out)  2. Alternative to PC/Mac

But without software and hardware support, people may turn around.  It's going to take a couple of years of strong effort to claim a market for the A1.
