Free Amiga classifieds section now online
«
on:

By popular demand, we've installed a free classifieds section to allow registered members to list, shop, and exchange their Amiga goods and services. You can see it at the link above in the menu or directly via
http://www.amiga.org/forums/classifieds.php
We've just got it installed, so things might be a little bit "weird" but drop us a line if you see anything wildly out of place.

Before anyone asks, the 11 former comments which were here were deleted accidentally. I clicked the wrong thing. Sorry, but I figure nothing really important was lost since the aforementioned messages were about a problem with Odin's browser.

When you click on the classified link it takes you

When you try to login you are brought back to home.
ie:

sigh.. classifieds are open to everyone, including anonymous users. They have been all day, so there is NO login issue with classifieds.

chromozone: Seems my main browser (phoenix) has a bit of trouble with stuff like auctions and downloads secctions.
My backup browser (IE) handles it well.

I'm wondering which browser you ppl are using when it doesn't work?
Perhaps A.Org is becoming slowly but surely an IE-only site ;-).

Main browser is Galeon, but I've tried with Opera too. Same thing.
I dont use IE, should I downgrade?
Wait a minute; does this run on Linux?

It has come to our attention that part of the problem is actually a misconfiguration of the server. I have asked the server admin to fix the problem, but have gotten no response.
It seems that when you go to the downloads, or other sections, you are being redirected by the server to the actual server name of "web.amiga.org" which breaks the session variable if not the cookie as well.
There is nothing we can currently do except ask that you log into web.amiga.org (when you find yourself redirected there) as well to see if that alleviates the problem. Hopefully there will be a resolution coming shortly.

Can someone test and let us know if this problem is still occurring?

This is a known issue on some browsers. I've posted my findings in the forums. We are working to correct this but after reviewing the code on this end it doesn't look likely without a rewrite.
