A major player in  the market opens a branch on the other side of lake deep.

If that ain't "news" than tell me what is !!
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

As "Heiermann" pointed out on Amiga-News.de:

At www.oreillyferrario.com you can find the lawyers who were put
in charge by Genesi to incorporate Genesi USA. The impressing list
of their clients contains among others Michael Jackson, Olivia
Newton-John, Siegfried & Roy, MGM Grand Hotel...

Again Genesi show that right from the start they play in and aim at a
different liga than AI.

I guess this comes back to the debate of what amiga.org is all about.  Personally I dont think anything Genesi-related should become a news item.  MorphOS IS NOT AOS, so unless Im blind and the domain name now says morph.org or such then really there is no relevance.  I know non-amiga articles posted here other times were accepted but they were general, non-OS specific stuff.  Putting morphOS stuff here is what could be considered marketing on the moderators behalf and certainly a conflict of interest.

Sorry, didn't know the current AI back then acquired us users as
well...

Some Amigans use 68k-Amigas (AmigaOS 1.0-3.9). Some Amigans use
x86-PCs (UAE/Amithlon). Some Amigans use Macs (UAE). Some Amigans use
Pegasos (MorphOS). Some Amigans will use AmigaOnes (OS4)...

And what if sudenly Genesi acquires the Amiga-IP and -trademarks? Then
suddenly "we" are allowed to post here and "you" have to leave...?

Look at Amiga-News.de: "Amiga News ...and more".

In my humble opinion, we all are Amigans - and "AMIGA" is way more
than any company can buy.

If you don't like this site please found your own one
on which you can put as much news as you want.
It's up to Wayne what he wants to have on amiga.org
and to noone else.

You are right the debate is over what is Amiga news.

Here is what I propose as an answer: any environment that runs Amiga software, is relevant to the Amiga community.

That doesn't mean Windows is on topic because UAE is available for windows....it does however mean, that UAE itself is on topic.

So is AROS, Amiga Forever, Amithlon, OS XL, and
MorphOS.

Now, since, this is not a true organization, my opinion doesn't matter and neither does the communities...anything that Wayne doesn't shoot down is on topic...that is the current approach, and thats fine.

But for all those not understanding why MorphOS is relevant, it is because it runs current range of Amiga software....it just does.

Maybe it can't run OS 4 software, but there is no OS 4 software, maybe in the future Morphos isn't appropriate, but thats speculation for the future....right now it runs current amiga software....

no not all, but no amiga model can run it all, except through emulation.

If anything MorphOS on a Pegasos is the fastest way to run Amiga software.  Again, maybe that won't be true in the future, but right now, how can you run Amiga software faster?

Some 68k stuff will run faster on amithlon...true, but amithlon doesn't run amiga ppc software at all....

Its too bad no one does proper reviews...I'd like to know the fastest machine (Amiga) to run Quake II on...who is getting the highest frame rates...Pegasos board or Amithlon in 68k.

Seriously, huh? The issue isn't that it's easy or hard to incorporate in Nevada. The point is that Genesi has set up a corporate entity within the United States. Whether you think this is news or depends on how relevant you think Genesi is to amiga.org readers, but you should at least get the pertinent details straight.
