« on: January 04, 2003, 11:52:42 AM »
Amiga.org will be starting a new merchandise line and we need your help to do so.

If you think that you can make a great design that would look groovy on a Shirt, Coffee Mug or Mousepad, don“t waste any time and start designing now.

If one of the designs will be used for the new merchandise line, the creator will get a free T-Shirt and the everlasting fame of his/her design on top of our merchandising line.

You can send your designs to kees@amiga.org under attention of Merchandise Design Contest.

Make sure that you send in your design before 17th Januari 2003.

For questions please contact me at kees@amiga.org

Point of clarification (though I thought you of all people would have known this) Amiga.org has nothing, zero, nada to do with the "great t-shirt scam of 2002".

Unlike others, we have offered, sold, and delivered literally hundreds of pieces of  Amiga.org branded merchandise in the past.

People should point the finger at Amiga inc which are the people with their T-Shirt and coupon scam.

Wayne,  any chance that you could put up a large copy of the amiga.org logo? I would like to use it in my design!

Isn't just a t-shirt being awarded to the winner a little lame, considering they're doing AInc's work for them? Come on, offer the winner t-shirt, mug, mouse mat and a copy of OS4 at least!

Sigh...  Is there no one that understands the simple concepts and differences between Amiga.org (a private effort) and Amiga Inc (a commercial company)?

We've sold our T-shirts, mugs and other paraphrenalia for years and it has nothing to do with them.  We're simply inviting you to do your best at being creative.  After all, isn't that what being "an Amigan" is supposed to be all about?

@KennyR

Please READ the news-item before you post a comment where you confuse Amiga Inc with Amiga.org ...

This contest has nothing to do with Amiga Inc.
Our new merchandise line has NOTHING to so with Amiga Inc.

Besides this, i think that the staff at Amiga.org can decide for themselves what to give to the winner of its own contest.

Thank you ...

Guess I didn't read the thing properly, nevertheless it was posted under AMIGA / PARTNERS (wayne , after recent events on the forums.. come on!!!!)

An Amiga.org t-shirt huh? I'd feel something of a geek wearing a t-shirt that had .com / .org / blah on it...

Maybe 'we know theres an OS under development 'somewhere', we're gonna bomb you regargdless.......

heh wtf lets get flamed, a picture of the tin towers, and 'OS4? sh1t , I left the beta in there'

Tongue in cheek 'calm down, calm down'
