I am seriously getting to a point of disillusionment with some of this "Amigan Communisty"

I made a choice to go with OS4 and the AmigaOne but I don't go round stirring up trouble with the other camps or slagging off potential developers.

I also have one of the most stable computer systems that I have ever owned. It is a PC with dual (overclocked) Celerons running Windows XP. Its fast and can run everything I want.

The AmigaOne will just be another gadget in my collection (And I have many gadgets, believe me).

Bieng Pro-Amigan doesnt necessarily mean you have to be Anti-everything else.

Just adopt the neutral ground an everyone will be better off.

you cant develop for os 4 when its not even out yet give the devolpers of software a chance besides if they dont want to develop for os 4 and want to develop for morph os instead its their choice .thats what lifes about making choices not everybody might agree with you but then nobody will ever agree 100%.I am buying an amigaone but i not expecting everybody to write software for it. If someone develops for morph os only thats ok by me to develop for both platforms you need to buy both platforms an amigaone and pegosos which means you have to spend a lot of money a lot of people might not even have enogh money to buy either machine so calm down and stop shooting yourself in the foot.

Firstly, this isnt gadgetmaster.org so dont bark at me like you own the place, secondly you dont 'own' the amiga community - so trying to prevent me from pushing my opinion is wasteful.

I do NOT stand to gain financially from any of this, if you are referring the distribution of amigaONE in New Zealand which Im working on - it is a non-profit thing setup purely so amigans can purchase their HW without import hassles.  A provision of convenience if you will.

Im not attacking the developers - the concept in the top half of my post was a question, not a statement, designed to absorb your opinion.  Obviously you are so bent on the anti this didnt work and instead you built more anti on top.

If you want to be the peaceman, I suggest you actually allow these forums to be filled with alternating opinions without crying wolf over it.

Like I said - Tolerance.  Opinion giving is imperative, upping the anti when someone else does, is not helpful.  You post your opinion, you post some more, you argue your opinion against someone elses - all fine.  But when you simply bark at someones opinion, for no other reason than to try and suppress them - well, not fine.

I did make it clear that I did not like what those people that e-mailed the developer had done. Now unless you are one of those there is no reason to take it so personally.

Study the tone of your own posts first then criticise me.

The problem with the Amiga "community" is not that it is one big seething bowl of hate and rage, its that there is a very loud minority acting like complete assholes and ruining it for everyone else. The people that threatened the author of Hollywood are just unbelievable... Its sickening it really is.

What planet are you from? I mean, I intend to buy OS4 and an AmigaONE. That doesn't mean i'm "against" MorphOS. Sure, I might not be financially supporting them, but if people want MorphOS then thats fine with me, and if people want to write software for both systems, more power to them. They maximise their userbase and everyone wins.

Personally, I'm very interested and excited by the progress of AmigaOS4, MorphOS, and AROS, even if I don't necessarily like the way some of the people from all sides (or at least OS4 and MorphOS camps) have acted.

Don't be so closed minded about these things. After all, if OS4 isn't a success, MorphOS will almost certainly made available for the AmigaONE. If MorphOS isn't a success, I reckon that OS4 port to the pegasos might actually happen. I just wish all the small minded petty idiots hell bent on fighting until theres nothing left to fight for would just shut up and go away...
