Announcement: Hollywood for AmigaOS4

As I got some mails from people saying that they won't buy Hollywood because I'm supporting MorphOS I have to clarify that there will be AmigaOS 4 version of Hollywood of course.

But before this can happen, I need a developer version of AmigaOS4 and because such a version does not seem to be available currently, I cannot do anything yet. But there will be definitely an AmigaOS4 version of Hollywood (if it is API compatible to the classic AmigaOS).

So, don't panic and don't send me any more of such threatening letters. It's really astonishing how serious this topic seems to be to some people.

Additionally the update to the AmigaOS4 version of Hollywood will be free of charge too (as the update to the MorphOS version was). So if you are interested in Hollywood, you can also buy the program now and get the update for free when AmigaOS 4 is finally available.

The only thing OS4-supporters should do right now when someone
releases any SW is ask in a polite way if the author might
consider OS4 when it is available.

Anything more is counterproductive, and attacking someone
who just says "No" won't be helpfull either.

That is no excuse for attacking a developer with threatening e-mails.

Developers can choose whichever platform they want  program for. Nobody is obliged to support this that or the other.

If you want something done do it yourself !!

No grow up, learn to program and develop software for OS4 if that is what you would like to see.  

Just stop preaching to others that which you do not do yourself. (aimed at the ones who sent those mails)

Just leave the hard working programmers alone.

But that has never been the case! AFAIR, the poor guy hasn't even said anything about *NOT* supporting OS4. But since *THERE IS NO OS4*, how the h--l is he supposed to release software for it?! :-x

Did i miss something?? Where did it say that he would not continue to support AmigaOS? It is possible to develope for more than one OS.

Some people just don`t have the brains to think before doing. Absolute idiots.

I`m glad of this news, as the Amiga needs something like this. Though it would be VERY good if it
had a better GUI system. Like Scala. This problem makes it potentially useless to beginners to
computing. We don`t want the Amiga to be only for people who have years of knowledge on how to use
it. New users are needed and new users are usually.......well....new.

Well, I've already bought Hollywood (within the very hour of first hearing about it here on Amiga.Org).  I very much look forward to an AmigaOS4 version since MorphOS quite simply isn't my cup of tea.

Would you buy software thats also available on MOS?


This is really a perspective issue - because both sides of this need to seriously question their tolerance level.  


As for my opinion, I think you are f*cking up the community with your attitude to any amigan who decides to think differently on any issue.  And to reach outside of the amiga community and pull in an OS called Morph-OS and try and rub it in loyalists faces it just as bad.

So you don't want that epic/Titan consider OS4-versions of their SW ?

And surely you don't want any Hyperion-ports, as they only do
commercial ports when they also do a Mac and/or linux-port ?

You obviously have strong opinions as you stand to gain financially with one side rather than the other.

Preaching about loyalty and attacking a developer who has never said that He will abandon OS4, won't achieve anything.

Just leave the neutral developers out of this OK!

I am seriously getting to a point of disillusionment with some of this "Amigan Communisty"

I made a choice to go with OS4 and the AmigaOne but I don't go round stirring up trouble with the other camps or slagging off potential developers.

I also have one of the most stable computer systems that I have ever owned. It is a PC with dual (overclocked) Celerons running Windows XP. Its fast and can run everything I want.

The AmigaOne will just be another gadget in my collection (And I have many gadgets, believe me).

Bieng Pro-Amigan doesnt necessarily mean you have to be Anti-everything else.

Just adopt the neutral ground an everyone will be better off.
